Emotional Intelligence at Airport Security

Isn’t the old saying “It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it?”  Well, I’m not sure that’s the case.

Here’s an example of when a genuine ‘Thank you’ was interpreted by the recipient of my appreciation as being possibly sarcastic.  Why so?  Because he was so used to passengers moaning, complaining and not expressing thanks.
