Harrogate Borough Council had made a significant investment in leadership and management development during a period of significant change.
Committed to developing employees at all levels, and delivering the best service possible to its community, the development project had been received well, but relied almost entirely on external support.
It was decided that the Council would invest in certifying 5 members of its Organisational Development team in the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 psychometric assessments. Contact was made with Scott Watson and he facilitated the 2-day EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 Certification Training programme.
All 5 participants successfully completed their online examination and the Council now has its own in-house team of qualified Emotional Intelligence Practitioners. The financial saving made by removing its previous reliance on external provision of Emotional Intelligence coaching is significant.
