An inconsistent approach to recruitment and selection meant the company was potentially missing the opportunity to successfully identify, attract and recruit high quality trainee and qualified Lawyers to its team.
The SLT had identified that certain personal and collective biases may be unwittingly hindering rather than helping prudent decision making and selection decisions.
A series of immersive one-day Unconscious Bias training seminars exploring how biases are developed, identified and then successfully managed within a senior leadership team packed with individual subject experts.
Alongside the learning, a practical Bias Identification template for use within recruitment and selection processes was implemented.
