Ready to become Certified in
Emotional Intelligence?

“Many Trainers and Coaches 'talk about' Emotional Intelligence.  Few are actually qualified to talk about it competently."

Scott Watson, Certified Master Trainer
of EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 Programme

Welcome,

Down this page I have detailed what is involved in the EQ Certification training programme, plus client case studies which demonstrate the need for and value of Emotional Intelligence, when used intelligently.

Take a look and if you would like to learn more, you're welcome to call me on 07968 241 818 for a chat.  There is also a Contact Form down the page too.

The world is changing.  The workplace is changing.  How leaders, managers and teams operate, communicate, deliver value is changing.

The Covid-19 pandemic hasn't just changed how organisations work.  It has increased pressure on organisational leaders and leadership teams to steady the ship, create stability and then, return to growth.

Easier said than done.  But, in many instances, it can be done.  But it is extremely unlikely that even the smartest, most academically qualified leaders won't be able to achieve this on their own, and without specialist, value-adding support.  And that specialist support is Emotional Intelligence Coaching.

The Proof is in the Results Achieved

What's the point of becoming certified in Emotional Intelligence if your trusting client doesn't realise genuine personal and professional value from your involvement?  There's no point at all!

Meet Duncan

Getting The Job Done...But At What Cost?

Head of IT Special Projects for a major publisher, Duncan led a team of 20 colleagues ranging from researchers, coders, developers and project managers.

Recently appointed by the Board of Directors for his enviable 22 year track record of achieving tight deadlines hitting budget, expectations of Duncan were high.

Just 16 weeks in to his new role, 6 team members submitted complaints to HR regarding his seemingly 'aggressive' communication style and micro-management which was promoting mistrust and disengagement across the team.

Duncan's Director and HR realised that in-house efforts to resolve the issues had failed to deliver progress.  Specialist external support was now required.

Equipping, Engaging & Enabling Awareness

Duncan wasn't aware that his focus on getting the job done came with a deeply human cost and financial cost to his employer.  Why?

Firstly, because nobody had ever informed him. Secondly, because even his own bosses over many years had begun to believe 'Well, that's just how Duncan is', when in fact, it wasn't.

The EQ-i 2.0 assessment report identified several key imbalances in Duncan's EQ.  Self Awareness, Self Regard, Empathy, Reality Testing all scored low.  Independence, Assertiveness and Problem Solving all scored high.   Imbalances such as low Empathy, low Impulse Control and high Assertiveness resulted in Duncan's communication being received as 'a personal attack'; his micro-management as mistrusting and suffocating for team members.

Return on Investment for EQ Coaching?  £211,000

The full details of how Emotional Intelligence Coaching benefited Duncan, his team and organisation are too detailed to be published on this page but it is covered during the EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360 Certification training programme.

When a client informs you that it measured its ROI at £211,000, you know that candid, collaborative, incisive coaching underpinned with the EQ-i 2.0 assessment is an organisational benefit, and not a cost.

Duncan A's Before & After EQ Coaching - EQ-i 2.0 Report Results

'Scott was a pleasure to work with.  He spent time making the coaching about me and helping me feel the improvements were mine rather than a 'Here's what you should do' out of a book.  The coaching sessions really helped me to embed the new ideas and concepts and I would recommend any leader to have a conversation with Scott Watson.'
